[singlepic id=124 w=320 h=240 float=left]So it’s been a while since our last blog so we’ve decided to combine April and May. April was an awesome month with us. We’ve had loads of customers returning to us the past few months and it’s been awesome to have familiar faces back. All our instructors are have been busy teaching Open Water, Advanced and Rescue course the past two months. We’ve had loads of rescue courses in the past two months which always makes for great photos for our Facebook Page.

[singlepic id=125 w=320 h=240 float=right]April was amazing for Whale Shark encounters. Our lucky divers managed to have loads of dives with them. Neil saw his first one in two and a half years on his second day back in the water. Some of our lucky Open Water students even managed to dive with one on their final dive of the course. What a way to finish off an Open Water Course.

The highlight of April for all our staff and customers with defiantly Songkran! The Songkran Festival is Thai New Year which is celebrated by a whole island water fight. The Sairee Cottage Diving team combined forces with students and fun divers out the front of the shop and waged war on the neighboring dive schools! Amazing is the only way to describe the day!

[singlepic id=126 w=320 h=240 float=left]We want to say a big congrats to Andy, Nikki, Annette, Victor and Alex who completed their Dive Master training with us. You guys did awesome. It was amazing having you guys with us. We’re delighted to have Jono, Mel, Steff, Lillian, Kris and Fred join our DMT team. It’s going to be good craic with them around. We also want to say a big congrats to Rachel, Shep and Bowdie on completing their PADI IDC during May. The guys worked really hard and the after party was defiantly well deserved.

[singlepic id=127 w=320 h=240 float=right]The diving conditions the past two months have been excellent. Chumphon Pinnacle has been alive with life. Whale Sharks have been spotted quite regularly and we’ve been lucky enough to have a camera with us every time. We’ve been registering the encounters with ECOCEAN, a Whale Shark monitoring site that tracks Whale Shark encounters. Three of the Whale Sharks we’ve seen had never been registered which is quite exciting. Another has been spotted twice more around Chumphon Pinnacle.

We’ve been busy uploading all our photos onto our Facebook page so get on Facebook and get tagging 😀 http://www.facebook.com/SaireeCottageDivingKohTao.

Hopefully see you all soon.
