Digital Underwater Photography Course
At Sairee Cottage Diving we strive to give you the most out of every course and diving experience. It is no exception with our PADI Digital Underwater Photography specialty course. Our underwater photographer, Paddy Peach, is passionate about his job and the underwater world. This is apparent in his lessons.
Tailor Made Courses
Each course is tailor made to every student’s needs. We take their previous camera knowledge and diving skill level into account. A range of cameras and extra equipment are all included in the course. We have close up macro lenses to wide angle rigs. There is something for everyone. You also get the option of taking a 1, 2 or 3-day course to really get as much as you want out of the experience.
Each day starts with academics followed by a pool session. There you can get used to the equipment underwater. We can then evaluate your buoyancy skills. In the afternoon we head out on our dive boat. We will take photos on some of the many beautiful dive sites around Koh Tao. Once we are back at the dive shop we have another classroom session. In this session, we teach you editing techniques with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. The course schedule can also be adapted to fit around your holiday. If you like, we can join the day trip to Sail Rock, the best dive site in the gulf of Thailand to take some amazing underwater photos.
Paddy Peach – Underwater Photographer
Hi, my name is Paddy. I have always had a love for the underwater world and photography. I have been diving since 2007 and became a divemaster in 2012. I have been living on Koh Tao ever since. I know the dive sites really well. I know the secrets and where to find some of the less common marine life around Koh Tao. I want to get people as excited about the world under the waves as I am. I think photography is a great way to create understanding and generate enthusiasm among divers and non-divers. Even for those who have never been diving I think underwater photos will get them passionate to try diving. We need to create awareness in order to save this beautiful and strange environment.
